Meet Greta

Themed Party Designer,Party Planning Specialist, Founder & Owner of Party Therapy

As a former kindergarten teacher, mother, and wife, I’ve always been passionate about creating immersive experiences that bring people together. With 15 years of teaching experience and countless themed parties for my children and friends, I’ve discovered the power of thematic celebrations to build connections, foster community, and heal hearts.

After COVID-19 halted my dinner party group, I repurposed my passion by crafting themed party baskets for friends and neighbors. This journey sparked a new realization: themed parties can be a powerful tool for healing and restoration in our lives.

Zach Monroe

Web Developer, Technical Support, Son

Zach is the oldest of Greta & Jim’s two sons. He shares a birthday (three years apart) with his younger brother Spencer and grew up playing soccer and celebrating all the milestones in life, including his 100th Day of Life, with his crazy theme-driven mom. He is now married to his lovely wife Katie, works as a Computer Engineer by day and is his mom’s Web Designer by night. He and his brother were the inspiration behind all of Greta’s early themed birthday parties and he plays a critical role in bringing Party Therapy to all of you. It has been a joy to see his gifts on display as he works his magic to bring you this beautiful website.

Leslie Broadland

Web Photographer, Consultant, Friend, Neighbor

Leslie is Greta’s neighbor, friend, and most recently web photographer and themed party collaborator. She has lived next to the Monroe family with her family for more than 30  years. Over the years she has attended numerous themed parties thrown by Greta including the party mentioned earlier, Zach’s 100th Day of Life party. She is a talented photographer, business owner, business operations specialist, mom of 5, grandmother of 3 and she too loves to throw a party. She plays a key role in bringing Party Therapy to life through her beautiful photography, extensive business expertise, and attention to detail. It’s an amazing experience to collaborate with such a talented and heart driven soul.

Jim Monroe

Business Manager, Party Enthusiast, Creative Solutions Specialist, Husband

Jim is Greta’s husband of 30 years, friend, and greatest supporter. He is a civil engineer, map lover, drone pilot, golf enthusiast, and loving father of their two sons. He manages all the business aspects of Party Therapy and plays a key role in helping Greta brainstorm new ideas and come up with creative solutions to the problems that arise when embarking on this wild journey of starting a small business. Party Therapy would not be possible without this amazing man.

Spencer Monroe

Logistical Support, Son

Spencer is the youngest son of Greta & Jim. He too grew up playing soccer and celebrating everything his mother could think of. He is now married to his lovely wife Paula, a mechanical engineer by day, and a behind the scenes Party Therapy supporter by weekend. He continues to challenge his mom to think outside the box and stretch the limits of her imagination. She is so grateful to have him working behind the scenes and supporting this adventure in all ways possible.
